Greg Szeto is currently a Director at Vertex and Head of the Molecular Profiling group, focused on target identification, validation, and prioritization for the autoimmune portfolio. Greg’s approach to science is inspired by his diverse formal training including T cell immunology and HIV, systems immunology, and chemical and biomedical engineering. He is also a firm believer in the transformative power of team science and immunology.

Greg’s long-term research interests are to 1) leverage a systems-level understanding of immune regulation to identify targets and design therapeutics and 2) deploy novel technologies for biomarker discovery towards more personalized and targeted medicine as well as deep mechanistic understanding of drugs in the clinic. These efforts are currently focused on discovering and developing novel, impactful targeted therapies, including antibody-drug conjugates, degrader-antibody conjugates, and multi-specific biologics.
